CAPACITY IMPROVEMENTS

Soil leachability

TOP

We already had capacity for leaching 100 samples at a time and have recently installed additional leachate preparation kit. 200 samples at a time is impressive capacity if we need it but we now have the flexibility to accommodate the varying demands of 6 hour, 18 hour and 24 hour leaching that WAC analysis needs without interrupting the longer leaching samples. Our increased flexibility will give us even more reliability with our already impressive turnaround times.

DID YOU KNOW
TOP

Ambient or background air usually contains between 10 and 200 asbestos fibres in every cubic metre (our old friend Google). If an average adult, at rest, breathes 11m3 each day then they are exposed to between 110 and 2200 asbestos fibres every day. So a 30 year old may have been exposed to anywhere between 200,000 and 24,000,000 asbestos fibres in their lifetime. If you were alive before asbestos use was restricted you may have been exposed to significantly more fibres than this.
